Summer in Ukiah is upon us. That means most days in the mid 90’s with humidity in the 12% to 15% range. The Ukiah summer evenings are a time to enjoy being outside and open the house up. It’s a wonderful time for family gatherings, barbecues, etc. In the summer months many of our rolling hills turn a beautiful golden brown, which makes a dramatic contrast with the dark green color of the native Oak trees. The night time temperatures are often in the mid 50’s to the low 60’s. It is great to be able to open the house up and enjoy a good night of rest in a comfortable temperature.
Summer is typically our busy time of year in the real estate business. It’s a great time to put a property on the market for sale, and because inventory is typically a bit higher from March through November, it’s a great time to buy as well. Right now our real estate market continues to move at a brisk pace, with properties which are well priced and under $300,000 selling quickly. Marketing time increases as the price of the properties goes up.
Here are some statistics regarding real estate in the greater Ukiah area. The median home price is $295,000 and the average days on the market are 111. Current conventional interest rates are 4.65% with no points. There are 130 homes on the market for sale.
